Controversial rap artist Eminem is back after three weeks and the Rap God is at it again. The legendary artist has been facing criticism from a lot of people, saying that he is getting rusty. Sure he is 44 years old, but the singer is showing no signs of slowing down as far as his music is concerned. He recently demonstrated this by releasing a seven-minute epic video titled “Campaign Speech”, a piece revolving around the theme of elections, complete with his characteristic artistic insults and devastating rhymes.
The song’s lyrics, released in October 2016, slams Trump and his supporters: “But you should be afraid of this dang candidate/You sat Trump don’t kiss a** like a puppet, ‘Cause he runs his campaign with his own cash for the fundin’ and that’s what you wanted/ A f****** loose cannon who’s blunt with his hand on the button/ Who doesn’t have to answer to no one”.
Last week, there was a lot of buzz going around when Drake allegedly made a diss to Eminem in one of his soundtracks.
The two artists have formerly worked on a track called ‘Forever’ and share a cordial relationship. The controversy ended with Drake denying any of the above charges and calling Eminem ‘a legend’ and an ‘inspiration’ and adding that they share a warm friendship and he would do nothing to jeopardize that.
Eminem is Rap God and we all know that but recently he just announced this month of his plans of moving to England to record his new album titled ‘Success’, in search of a conducive place to work in and attain peace of mind.
After the US Presidential elections last year, the Lose Yourself rap God spoke out against the Presidential elect by releasing a song titled ‘No Favors’ which has profanity laced lyrics like : “I’m anti, can’t no government handle a commando/Your man don’t want it, Trump’s a b**** I’ll make his whole brand go under”. The song is deep rooted in its meaning, once you move past the profanity that is, and touches upon sensitive issues like the Flint water crisis, racism in the United States and police brutality.
